Lamborghini Aventador: suspension, brakes and steering

Lamborghini revealed new details of Aventador, pending the official launch expected at Geneva. After the information on the L539 6.5-liter V12 engine with 700 hp and 690 Nm and the automatic gearbox ISR, now is the time of suspension, brakes and steering. The Aventador (even the name is not confirmed 100%) will feature innovative suspension with push rod double triangle aluminum, similar in concept to those used in the formula with spring and shock absorber, produced by Öhlins, connected directly to the body: all 'front face at the base of the windscreen, in a transverse position, while the rear are horizontal, in front of the engine.

This scheme greatly increases the accuracy in setting and driving feel, without deleting the comfort, with a very high rigidity of the whole structure. The front axle also provides the hydraulic lifting system to lift the front of 40 mm and particularly high hurdles. The 'carbon-ceramic brake system includes 400 mm front discs with 6-piston calipers, while the rear discs are 380 mm with 4 piston calipers. The parking brake is operated by a solenoid. Hydraulic steering instead of the new V12 provides three different settings: for now the house does not specify the details, except to say that the mode "Race" is not always suitable for everyday driving, so it's logical to imagine how a comfort, a "Cars" and a stroke without compromise. The command operates on the front wheels 19 "with 255/35 tires and rims 20" rear with 335/30 tires.
